Project Description:  The work to be done generally consists of realigning the existing curve, both horizontally and vertically. A 22 foot wide detour road will be built south of existing project to detour traffic off the existing road prior to realignment work begins.  A steel crib wall and Midwest guardrail system will be installed off the new north edge of paved shoulder. Work also includes drainage ditches, driveway culverts, signing, striping and utility coordination for utility to relocate a 4 inch CCWD waterline and AT&T joint poles, and temporary removal of a call box.

DBE Program: This project is partially funded by federal funds from U.S. Department of Transportation.  The prospective bidders are required to comply with 49 Code of Regulations (CFR) Part 26.  The prospective bidders must meet the project-specific Underutilized Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (UDBE) goal or document the Good Faith Effort (GFE) process.  It is important to note that to comply with the County DBE program’s Good Faith Effort, the bidder must take certain actions a minimum of 15 days prior to bid opening.
