General Location: Along Vasco Road beginning approx 4 miles north of the Alameda/Contra Costa County line to approximately 5.5 miles north of the County line (Station 294+00 to 363+00), a project length of approximately 1.5  miles.

Project Description:  The work to be done generally consists of constructing approximately one mile of concrete median barrier on Vasco Road with widening of approximately 6,900 linear feet of roadway; widening of one single span bridge (length 113 feet); constructing drainage, stormwater and erosion control facilities; constructing wildlife crossing systems, directional fencing, and Kit Fox and Tiger Salamander jumpouts, constructing retaining walls including mechanically stabilized earth walls and soil nail walls..
DBE Program:  This project has a goal of 4.24% Underutilized Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (UDBE) participation. 

This project is partially funded by federal funds from U.S. Department of Transportation.  The prospective bidders are required to comply with 49 Code of Regulations (CFR) Part 26.  The prospective bidders must meet the project-specific Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal or document the Good Faith Effort (GFE) process.  It is important to note that to comply with the County DBE program’s Good Faith Effort, the bidders must take certain actions a minimum of 15 days prior to bid opening.
