Kellogg Creek - Zone 2

Flood Control Zone 2 was formed to provide funding for construction and maintenance of regional drainage infrastructure in the Kellogg Creek watershed.

The construction of CCWD's Los Vaqueros Reservoir in the 1990s significantly changed the flow characteristics of Kellogg Creek.

Current projects in the watershed focus on sediment reduction and ecosystem restoration. The District has partnered with Reclamation District 800 to construct the Lower Kellogg Creek Bio-Filter / Retention Pond proposed to be located north of Highway 4 near where Kellogg Creek drains into Discovery Bay.
