Community members facing financial hardship resulting from COVID-19 may be eligible for assistance through the Season of Sharing(SOS) Emergency Relief Fund. Some Contra Costa County families with young children, older adults, disabled individuals, veterans, foster youth or victims of domestic violence may be eligible for this assistance based on job or wage loss resulting from the pandemic. Emergency relief may include help paying for rent, housing expenses, transportation, medical equipment, etc. EHSD’s Volunteer & Emergency Services (VES), in partnership with the San Francisco Chronicle Season of Sharing (SOS), reviews eligibility and administers the program.
The new number for the SOS hotline is (925) 655-1205. You can reach VES Program Coordinator Cindy Smith at (925) 655-1202 and SOS coordinator Alvaro Florez at (925) 655-1203 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
