Buchanan Field and Byron Airport remain open for essential operations. Airport administration offices are open, but closed to the public. Administration offices hours will be Monday – Friday, 9 am to 4 pm.

Clerk of the Board of Supervisors:
Starting March 17, 2020 through April 7, 2020, the Clerk of the Board will operate on a modified schedule, and will be open Monday - Friday from 10 am to 2 pm.
The Clerk-Recorder-Elections Department remains open to provide essential services, but access to buildings and in-person services is limited. Conservation and Development (DCD):
Department of Conservation and Development will continue to process certain applications and permits, and to perform construction inspections for certain projects with active building permits. DCD will continue to operate other programs and services to the extent possible by working remotely, but please be patient given the extreme limitations this presents.

Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS):
Contra Costa County Health Services Department and its Health, Housing & Homeless Services (H3) remain operational.

County Administration is open for County business, but closed to the public.

Employment & Human Services (EHSD):
Employment & Human Services has emergency protocols in place to ensure we deliver the services our customers need, as well as some expedited services for our most vulnerable community members.

Human Resources Department is open for County business, but has limited in-person access to pre-approved appointments only with social distancing protocols. No other in-office services at this time.
New recruitments and referred lists will be limited to positions essential to emergency response requirements. Questions should be emailed to the HR Analysts assigned to each department.
Employees will continue to have access to the online Employee Self Service functions.
All 26 County Libraries remain closed to the public. Patrons have online access eBooks, eAudiobooks, streaming movies, and more.

Until further notice, Probation field offices in Antioch, Martinez and Richmond will not be accessible beyond the public lobbies. The Probation Department Field Services Division remains in operation with limited services. Deputy probation officers are on duty and available for contact via telephone.
The West County field services office in Richmond will be relocating from 1275 A. Hall Avenue to 3095 Richmond Parkway Suite 210, effective Friday, April 10. The new telephone number for this location is (510) 942-3400.
Personal visitation has been suspended until further notice at the County Juvenile Hall and the Boy’s Ranch. However, essential professional visits will continue with proper health screening beforehand. A health screening tool is being implemented for individuals who are booked into custody at either of these facilities.

Public Works will be limiting activities in public areas to essential business only to comply with the order and to reduce unnecessary person to person contact. This is to help protect our customers and employees. Public Works staff will be available Monday – Thursday 7 am - 5 pm, Friday 7 am – 4 pm, closed 12 pm -1 pm on Fridays only.

Sheriff’s Office information: cancellation of jail visits because of coronavirus. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 into the Contra Costa County detention facilities, the Office of the Sheriff has temporarily canceled all professional, official, and social visits at the Martinez, West County, and Marsh Creek Detention Facilities. However, attorney visits will continue with access to non-contact visit rooms only. The cancellation will be reassessed as conditions change.

Superior Court of California is not a County office.The Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court has issued an emergency order providing that, at least until April 1, 2020, the court closure will have the effect of being a public holiday as far as statutory or other timelines are concerned. The Treasure Tax-Collector Office is open for County business, but closed to the public. Walk-in payments are not allowed. To communicate with the office, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. A representative will reply as soon as possible. Property tax payments can only be accepted by U.S. postal services, through our automated phone system at (925) 957-5280, or online. If you need a receipt for proof of payment, a copy of your tax bill with the installment’s payment date is available in View Bill under Account Lookup.
