Overview
The District Attorney's Elder & Dependent Adult Abuse Prosecution Unit handles the prosecution of criminal physical abuse, financial abuse and false imprisonment of elder and dependent adults after these cases are investigated by the local police agency.
The Unit's prosecutor and investigator are also very active in training law enforcement and other professionals in the recognition, prevention and investigation of elder and dependent adult abuse. Additionally, they work with many community groups to provide community outreach and training seminars to help elder and dependent adults protect themselves from abuse.
